- Features a soft cocoon shape through the body, and tapered leg.
- Signature Stalf, deep pockets.
- Minimal, multi-functional design and finish.
For more detailed information about fabric, fit, process and the way we work, please see info sections below or email customerservice@stalf.co.uk with any questions.
The Cocoon Jumpsuit is designed to be worn loose and should never feel tight or restrictive, especially across the hips and bum.
This fabric has no stretch, we recommend allowing 2-3” extra across the hips and bum when you compare your measurements to those below.
With regards to the length of your Cocoon Jumpsuit, we measure from shoulder to hem, unrolled. This is because the Jumpsuit features a slightly dropped crotch and so the inside leg measurement on its own can seem short.
Quick size check-
Small - Will comfortably fit UK sizes 6-8.
Medium - Will comfortably fit UK sizes 10-12.
Large - Will comfortably fit UK sizes 14-16.
X Large - Will comfortably fit UK sizes 18-20.
XX Large - Will comfortably fit UK sizes 22-24.
In more detail-
With regards to the measurements below, please allow a few inches spare across the hips/bum to get the most out of your Cocoon Jumpsuit.
Please also bear in mind that this garment does not have fastenings, and is pulled on, up over the hips.

We handmake every single Stalf garment (from start to finish) under one roof. Each garment is designed, hand-cut, sewn, finished, pressed and packed here at our Pink Studio in Lincolnshire, UK.
We manufacture your order on demand.
This keeps waste stock to an absolute minimum and means we only process what we use.
You should typically allow up to 4 weeks for your order to be manufactured and dispatched, we’ll email you with tracking details once it’s left the studio (sometimes it can be much quicker, please do give us an email if you have specific delivery requirements, or would like a more detailed outline of current dispatch times.)
During busy periods, in the run up to Christmas, whilst we have offers running or after a launch, please allow longer for your new Stalf to arrive with you safely.
Occasionally, individual garments may have a longer production time (for instance, if the product is a Pre-Order.) Please check on the relevant product pages for info on this point.
When you buy our product, you support the way we work. Here are some of the choices we make every day.
We operate the equivalent of a 4 day week. This means every Stalf employee works until just after 3pm and is paid until 5pm, for each day they work (some are part-time, some are full time, all benefit.)
Every Stalf employee receives their statutory holiday allowance (in accordance with their contract) and also receives a bonus, paid, 2 week holiday at Christmas (on top of this allowance.)
We allow flexible working to support each staff member’s individual needs.
Design & Waste
Our products are designed with the customer in mind. Stalf has always been driven by customer feedback rather than exponential growth and this is at the very heart of the business. We choose not to adhere to the traditional fashion calendar, and instead slowly evolve our offering over time. Sometimes a new collection can be years in the making. Sometimes our like-minded, small suppliers have limited edition fabrics we can put into production in a matter of weeks. This is the joy of small business - flexibility is part of our strength.
Each garment is multifunctional and is designed to transcend seasons, trends and age.
With the exception of a small offering of Ready Made garments (as requested by our customer) we manufacture every item on demand. This keeps waste stock to an absolute minimum and means we only process what we will use.
We save all fabric offcuts and waste scraps generated as a by-product of our process here at the Pink Studio. Most can be used to cut pockets/small parts of our product/can be used in future production. We also work with local sewing groups who give our fabric scraps a new lease of life with their projects. For those scraps that are too small for this, we save and pay to store them. When we've built up enough quantity, we pay for our scraps to be collected and repurposed by a zero-to-landfill recycling company. Our fabric scraps are sorted, processed and most are given a new life as new products such as cleaning cloths, insulation and seat padding. Fabric recycling is still very much a grey-area in the recycling industry and researching this part of our business ongoing. Where our recycling partner cannot repurpose our waste scraps, they are turned into green energy.
Packaging
Your Stalf garment is posted to you using minimal packaging.
We wrap your new pieces in tissue paper and then pop them in a recyclable mail bag along with your order details and a Stalf postcard- if you like our product, perhaps think about passing it on to a family member or friend along with your recommendation.
Our heavyweight linen/cotton mix is made at a family-owned mill in Ireland with almost 145 years’ experience weaving linen fabric.

A bit about Linen in general.
Linen fabric is made from flax, one of the most sustainable raw materials in the world. During growth, the flax plant receives no additional irrigation; rainwater is sufficient.
During production, every part of the flax plant is used, and there is no waste- every part of the plant not used in the final product is repurposed.
Over time, we've found that by including cotton in the fabric content of our linen fabrics (especially heavier weight garments designed for every day use) we dramatically increase the longevity of the product. Here we've chosen a fabric that marries the ethical considerations we find important- traceable, small-scale production and the use of natural fibres- with the durability of a heavy weight linen-cotton mix.
Fabric Care
- This fabric can be easily sponged clean and doesn't need to be machine washed with every wear.
- When it does need a freshen up, machine wash at 30 using a non-bio detergent.
- Shake out vigorously whilst damp to reshape and reduce excess creases.
- Air Dry.
- Steam iron on the "cotton" or "linen" setting to revive and soften.
- Do not tumble dry your Stalf.
- We STRONGLY advise against the use of softeners, colour brighteners or additional detergents/products.
- Linen often stiffens or appears to have shrunk slightly after washing, but will relax and soften again with wear.
